WESTCountry player Foot Anstey has boosted
turnover by a massive 26 per cent, rising by
£3m from last year's £11.4m to £14.4m. This
marks the success of the firm's May 2005
merger with Alms & Young and means it has
hit the ambitious turnover target it set this
time last year of "between £14m and £15m".
As well as its main businesses of company
commercial, private wealth and family/
childcare, the firm also maintains a sizeable
legal aid practice. Managing partner Jane
Lister said that, unlike many other firms, Foot
Anstey has been able to make a decent return
on it, hitting the same targets as other groups
via high leverage. She added that the firm
welcomes the Carter reforms.
Foot Anstey's second office, opened in Taunton
18 months ago, has capitalised on the Vision for
Taunton redevelopment scheme.
