ANDERSONStrathern put an extra £1m on its
turnover, reaching £15m this year. All the signs
are that the firm’s three-year growth plan,
hatched in 2005, has started to pay off.
Chairman Robert Carr wants his firm to be
challenging the Scottish premier league of
firms, including Dundas & Wilson and
McGrigors. To do this Anderson Strathern is
focusing on more commercial, real estate and
dispute resolution matters.
The firm advised BAA on the creation of a
property joint venture with Morley Fund
Management worth £801m and is also assisting
on the Stirling-Alloa-Kincardine railway
project. In January Anderson Strathern acted
for Quercus on a £20m acquisition of care homes in Nottingham, Cumbria and Bristol.
Although Anderson Strathern has no offices
outside Scotland, it maintains referral
relationships with Charles Russell, Morgan
Cole and Brabners Chaffe Street. An office in
London could well be on the cards for the next
three-year growth plan in 2008.
