FORBESSolicitors is the fastest-growing firm
in the top 10 of this year’s Rising 50, boosting
revenue from £13.4m to £16m: this represents
a growth rate of just less than 20 per cent.
The firm is rather an oddity, being a general
practice that combines high street work, such
as criminal, with commercial, corporate,
property and litigation matters.
Managing partner John Barker said he has no
plans to change this balance and that the firm’s
growth was down to overall growth in the
sector and region in which it operates.
The firm is well established in the North
West and continues to handle most of the work
for local football clubs Blackburn Rovers FC and
Burnley FC.
The future of Forbes will involve moves to
strengthen the offices in Leeds and Preston,
with the firm preferring organic over lateral
growth.
