The Law Lords are to look into the circumstances giving rise to creation of secure or assured tenancies, in a challenge to possession moves by a London housing trust. Gary Bruton, who is the temporary occupier of a flat in Lambeth which is pending re-development, claims he is entitled to tenancy rights protecting him from eviction. So far Lambeth County Court and the Court of Appeal have rejected his claims, but he has now been given leave to take his case to the House of Lords.
