DLA Piper has announced that Rich Davis has joined the law firm’s corporate and finance practice as a partner in the Washington DC office.
With a focus on complex leveraged and specialty debt financings, Davis represents institutional lenders, including banks, finance companies, funds, and other institutional lenders, and borrowers in domestic and international finance transactions.
He also advises on a broad range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions and venture capital and private equity investments, as well as investment fund structuring.
Prior to joining DLA Piper, Davis was a partner at Ashurst LLP. Earlier in his career, he was senior vice-president and deputy chief operating officer at Promontory Interfinancial Network LLC. Davis is also a veteran of the US Army, where he served as an officer on active duty from 1994–1998 and in the US Army Reserves through 2003.
He earned a JD with honours from the University of Maryland School of Law and a BS from Truman State University.
