Reynolds Porter Chamberlain has appointed a new senior partner after the present incumbent stepped down after 12 years in the role.
Alan Toulson, who joined the firm in 1968 as a trainee and became a partner in 1972, will be succeeded by insurance partner Paul Nicholas.
During his tenure, Toulson help propel the firm’s turnover from £10m to £40.3m as the firm has broadened its practice which has included moving into volume insurance work with the acquisition of South West-based SJ Cornish.
