Dundas scotches merger rumours as it prepares for delayed partner conference

What is going on with the large Scottish firm? Pinsents have to rescue McGrigors after the bank threatens to call in the overdraft. Maclays fails twice to tempt Bond Pearce into the sack, and can't find anyone else so profits continue to ski downhill fast. Dundas & Wilson continue to suffer a mighty fall from grace and don't seem to be able to find a decent dance partner (Speechly Bircham? Really?). Only S+W have managed to stay out of the press and even they must secretly be looking around. Brodies have stolen a march on the "Big 4" given they took their eye off the ball in Scotland, and now Burness/P&W have teamed up for what looks like a great offering. All seems to be a bit of a shambles really.
