Safety first for Barclays' quest

As usual I'm probably being stupid but haven't all these candidates got enormous conflicts of interest? I mean, if you were a partner at Clifford Chance or Linklaters you're hardly likely to cause any trouble at Barclays are you? Your whole peer group is leaning on you and you're thinking "I wonder what I might do after my 8 years here?" The candidates set out above are all "insiders" and should be excluded, never mind shortlisted. I suggest they find a questioning, iconoclastic maverick who is not afraid to ask the dumb questions like "Is that ethical?" and "Aren't you doing that just to get around the legislation?" Who that person could be I just don't know ....
