Discretion assured 'The role isn't being advertised' suggests that APAX have appointed headhunters to fill the role. The firm they've employed must be useless, given that one of the main reasons to use them in a case such as this would be to keep the role below the radar until an appointment is made. For all the potential appointees, a tiny number of lawyers in the market, this publicity pre-empts the headhunt call and makes a mockery of client confidentiality. Money for old rope? Here it's money for no rope at all!
