Is there another option? PPPs are just a way of paying for infrastructure that governments do not have the money to pay for. Just like buying a house with a mortgage. We have now seen that this so called "strong" economy during the last 10 years was just a big bubble. PPPs will increasingly be seen as the only possible way ahead. The alternative? Re-build the infrastructure by incurring massive state debt - as Barak Obama is doing - and then in 10 years general taxation doubles to pay for this debt. Is this any different?
