life is nasty brutish and short unless you're an equity partner at DLA Having endured a few years at DLA, the comparison with enron is a tad unfair but not difficult to see why other lawyers feel that way about DLA. DLA is there for its equity partners. Life for others is nasty, brutish and (unless you're one of the small ingratiate minority who make equity) short. It's the culture of the firm for better or for worse.
