Clamouring for Lehman lawyers? Your article suggests numerous recruiters are clamouring for Lehman lawyers, as if they excel over and above other lawyers in the City, currently employed or otherwise. Isnt this an exaggeration? Having worked at Wall St giant bigger and far better managed than Lehman, and having encountered Lehman's lawyers on the other side of transactions, I wonder if you are talking of the same people. Some are good, some very good, and others merely average. Your article makes it look as if they are the best and need to be pounced on. By whom is another matter - most banks are downsizing and there simply are not many roles around to be filled. As is always the case, a few heads of divisions will get snapped up. Others will commence a long search.
