No money either It gets worse. With the introduction of income/salaried/non-equity partnerships, the financial rewards are also fast disappearing as firms adopt a "plantation owner" mentality (with the salaried partners being the "overseers"). A lot of hard working young associates will have received a real "buz killer" after finding out that, in fact, they will not get a pay rise... or at some firms suffer a pay cut... when they get given the keys to the executive washroom.
