Law firms ready themselves for huge taxi bill

Comment

crazy Sometimes the HMRC is entirely impracticable and brings itself into disrepute. This is one of those occasions. The taxis are paid for by clients ordinarily, not the firm, if you are a lawyer so query whether it is a benefit at all provided by the employer. In any event, the systems needed to check on whether a taxi is needed as a matter of safety or whether public transport becomes impracticable would be so cumbersome and subjective that people would lose even more confidence in the state of the HMRC. We need to vote for any politicians that will simplify the tax system and ensure that the HMRC adopts more sensible policies.
