Law firms ready themselves for huge taxi bill

Comment

Lawyers' whining Taxis are necessary if meaningful public transport is not available, but if firms pay for taxis from the City or Canary Wharf for employees at 9.30 p.m. in the evening then that is something that should be treated as a benefit in kind. To those who raise the safety issue, perhaps the point is that they should choose to live in a location which allows them to get home safely. If they live in a unsafe location then that is hardly a reason for their employer to pay for their transport. There's a real entitlement culture among a lot of lawyers. Do they ever think about those less fortunate than themselves who don't have their luxuries.
