Gomez-Acebo divorces Portuguese ally

Perhaps the other way around... As far as I understand the situation is the other way around. Vieira de Almeida has been worried about its close connection to Gomez Acebo for quite some time. The link was not helping it in terms of quality Spanish referrals and if anything was sending out the wrong message to the market. Equally, it is fair to say that Vieira has a higher standing in Iberia as a whole than Gomez Acebo does these days. Make of that what you will, but it is rare for a lower ranked firm to dump a higher ranked firm...
