My partner and i have a victorian terraced house in Battersea, which we wish to extend by adding a new floor on the rear of the property. We have received planning permission for this extension Our neighbours have employed a rights of light surveyor, in an attempt to prevent the works We have also now employed a specialist surveyor and have made a financial offer of compensation. I have also suggested to our surveyor that we could offer to replace the relevant window with a larger window to mitigate any alleged reduction in light Our surveyor advises us that this will not be considered as suitable remedy by the courts. Is there any precedent of similar offers being made and accepted as reasonable by the courts
