Causation effect

causation effect I was extremely interested in your article re causation. I am stunned however as my solicitor has urged me to go this way knowing full well it is going nowhere. I cannot believe that knowing this they felt they could win my case and more worryingly after deciding that this was the way to go they spent £2,300.00 on a specialist who knew nothing whatsoever about my problem and after undergoing a fishing expedition of my medical records sent my solicitor a damning report which upset me terribly. I have absolute proof that this man actually lied in his report and furthermore after promising before I discussed a particular topic with him that it would be off the record and not used in his report, he used it. I cannot tell you how thankful I am to have read your report as my solicitors were actually ready to spend more of the public funds on yet another specialist. They told me they had a supportive report from another specialist and when I asked for a copy of this report I was told it would not be in my best interests and so I demanded they send it to me. In this report the specialist clearly states 'It is my opinion that this case would centre around a Afshar v Chester type ruling that it was Mrs Nelson's right to be told of the risks. However, medico-legal cases centring on informed consent are hard to predict the outcome of and I would not be over confident of success in this case'. I am so angry that my solicitor knowing this, carried on spending the public's money. Any solicitor known to do this should be severely repremanded. I cannot see you printing this however I believe it is my duty to protect the public and will ensure it will be printed nationally. I now feel an absolute fool and can only thank you for bringing this to my attention
