Nobby Clark founder member and lead singer of Bay City Rollers has, two weeks ago, had his claim for unpaid singing and writing royalties time barred by a judge in chambers in New YorK. Gordon "Nobby" Clark's version of Saturday Night was Billboard Number One in America and also hit ONE in Japan and Canada in 1975. Over the years since then Arista/Sony have put out hundreds of recordings of his songs. As late as 2010 a 4 set album was issued with Nobby singing twelve of the songs on it. Nobby now has permission to go to Appeal Court in New York where three judges will decide if the Statute of Limitations should apply. It is not the fault of Mr Clark.. that so much time has elapsed, He has been trying to be paid royalties over all these years since he signed a contract with Arista in 1971 I am doing a piece for newspapers and BBC about all this and I would like it to have a happy ending. That would be that Sony would talk to Clark about an out of court settlement. He has never had one penny nor a dime in royalties over the years, Will someone at least talk to him about a settlement. Please let me know. Flora
