Recruiters: Cobbetts was continuing to hire lawyers up until December

Hopefully this is a wake up call to those who use recruiters (both employers and emplyees). Having owned what was the largest legal recruiter in UK the suggestion that recruitment was continuing in December 2012 is an indictment on both sides. It is incumbent on a quality recruiter to 'know' thier client well - it is the only way they can provide service and add value. May be they were just interested in the fee and only employ persons who are motivated only by commission, not the outcomes.
