Indian bar must represent Delhi gang rape defendants, says Bar Council

I don't think that it is possible to underestimate the sense of national outrage over the offence that these defendants are accused of. Of course the English legal system is faultless - The tax payer in this country will happily pay several criminal silks millions upon millions in legal aid to cover the trial and numerous appeals in spite of the overwhelming evidence. This may just be a case of mitigation after all.
