"42 of the top 200 firms actually have what you’d call a real BPM solution in place." This is a startling statistic and doesn't always have to be attributed to the high cost of a BPM solution suite. There are several options to consider including an Open Source approach. BPM as a discipline itself is still relatively new, especially in the North American market but the technology has very advanced capabilities.
