This was a group of companies engaged in anti-competitive price-fixing i.e. a cartel. In pursuing a cartel, each and every member of that cartel is jointly and severally liable for the losses of those affected. It's therefore not necessary to show that Bank A caused this loss and Bank B caused the other loss.
