Why stealth? If the firm stops making a profit associates will roll. The firm is expanding, fees are coming in, but it would seem (looking in from the outside) that support staff levels have grown disproportionately due to mergers. It is an unfortunate consequence of capitalism that these good hard working individuals may lose their jobs. But the bottom line is all that counts.
