What would be excellent would be for the Government to redress the gender balance and have some women sitting in the top court. I am not in favour of positive quotas but for there only to be one woman sitting on the SC bench is ridiculous, the judges need to stop being an old boys club. Here are a few names: Mary Arden Jill Black Sonia Proudman Sarah Asplin Liz Gloster Or, you could really go off piste and get in a decent silk, Barbara Dohmann QC would do a fantastic job.
