I note a mere 1 in 6 UK national students who complete the course get pupillage! Now the QLTT loophole to qualify as a solicitor has been (rightly) closed, the BPTC is a huge gamble for anyone starting it without pupillage. The junior independent bar is a very difficult place to be at the moment, especially if you are in publically funded work. Also remember, what you bill and what you actually see are two totally different figures.
