Shakespeares to cut 54 jobs post-merger

I’m afraid we’re going to be seeing quite a lot of this sort of ‘consolidation’ in the legal sector over the coming years. Without any growth in the market and over-capacity in most law firms, mergers and the subsequent stripping out of duplicated costs will be one of the few ways for partners to maintain, let alone increase, their PEP. There’s going to be a lot of collateral damage.
