Keystone Law lawyer tragically killed in accident in central London

A GUERNSEY doctor desperately battled to save the life of a woman crushed by a falling window frame in London – just seconds after she had walked under the spot where tragedy struck. http://www.thisisguernsey.com/news/2012/09/01/guernsey-gp-in-battle-to-save-crushed-woman/ Dr Nichola Lloyd, the out-of-hours GP at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, rushed into action during what had until then been an everyday shopping trip in the capital on Thursday. But the woman, in her 20s, died after being hit in front of horrified onlookers by the giant frame being installed into a new multi-million pound office block in Hanover Street, off Regent Street. ‘I walked past there about ten second beforehand,’ said the 37-year-old. ‘It was really just the wrong place at the wrong time and it could have happen to any of us. ‘I almost went into autopilot. She clearly had very bad injuries, but you just have to think that is a person whose life needs saving and you do what you can to help.’
