Headline

Doughty Street raids Tooks in double swoop for crime duo

Comment

"The future of the criminal bar is, I am convinced, going to be all about high-end, top quality and challenging referral advocacy" The question as with all legal work is who will pay for it. It may be like that for a few of the luckier members of the Bar, but it seems to be ending up a bit like the housing market without the required first time buyers. The junior criminal bar as well as the solicitors firms who handle the work are disappearing fast. Never mind 15/20 years ago, the current criminal legal fraternity is barely recognisable from that of 5 years ago and further change and what seems to be the slow death of the professions seem to be merely accelerating
