The author's point is supported by what I've seen working with Fortune 500 companies entering Africa, as well as with African $1 billion+ companies expanding outward. The growth of transactions is outstripping the presence of trusted legal counsel. Leaders in other professional services (notably consulting, accounting and engineering) are establishing position in key Africa markets and with key CEOs today. It will be interesting to see which international law firms feel the opportunity is ripe for them.
