I'm not sure the advice to build relationship with your underwriter is necessarily achievable for a lot of firms. Most of the qualifying insurers only deal through brokers, it will be rare solicitors will get the chance to communicate directly with their underwriter. Building a relationship with a broker may be better advice, certainly if they are willing to tell you which other brokers have access to markets they do not.
