Veale Wasbrough in merger talks with Hewitsons

A good cultural fit in theory, and pre-VW merger with Vizards, both VW and Hewitsons were a similar size. Whilst the merger is still not definite, firms of this nature need to club together, steal a march on their smaller rivals and attempt to generate enough mass to provide a viable, attractive and cheaper alternative to the largest UK firms. Those who stand still will get left behind. As stated above, even if the two firms do merge, the merged firm would still have a lot of growing to do.
