I have never expected such close collaboration between magic circle law firms in Russia. As for the client - Sberbank's expanding move is not surprising: the number of local offices of Sberbank in Russia easily outflank the number of branches of other banks including local ones joint together. It seems there is no other place for Sberbank to expand in Western part of Russia rather than to cross the border.
