This time last year, I almost took a job with the firm only to be told at the last minute by the partnership that I wasn't quite what they were looking for. A year later, I am taking this as far more of a compliment than I did at the time as it clearly means that I am not an incompetent commercial lawyer with no loyalty to the firm for whom I am employed...
