"Profession throws a lifeline" makes it sound a little too charitable when what will be at the foremost of the recruiters minds will be the fact that most of these trainees will simply be better because they've already had [a number of] months experience as a trainee at Dewey's risk. Lets not kid ourselves, these people will not be recruited out of some sense of "duty" that the profession has; they are just fortunate that business sense is on their side.
