@ Anon 3:44pm. China (the mainland) is very much a tinpot country with a tinpot legal system where justice can be bought or judges can be influenced. Hong Kong, on the other hand by virtue of the one country two systems policy still operates with some semblance of democracy/transparency so no hope of bribing a judge/etc especially nowadays, though this kind of behaviour would have been common/expected in the past
