Top Pannone PEP in 2011 was ~£310k so Anon @ 11:57am was out only to the tune of a factor of 3x. But still a fair point. I suppose the answer is that partner promotions at any UK law firm are still considered newsworthy in the navel-gazing business in which we find ourselves.
