@ Ronald >There is a huge gap between the poor and rich. Because it is at still at an early stage of industrial development and devlepment is uneven across the country. Fully developed S.E. Asian countries like Taiwan, Japan and South Korea are more equal than Europe or North America. China will be too. Also don't forget China is a Communist country. Far more govenment action will be take to make society more equal once the country has caught up with the West economically. > China is not known for product quality and high employment standards. Neither was Japan once. These are rapidly improving. Chinese companies like Huawei, Lenovo, Sany, ZTE, Goldwind and Gree Haier are moving up the value chain at rapid speed and many are already world leaders. > The country is not known for peace and unity How often has China invaded other countries? China has a population larger than the whole of Europe. Please compare the number of people killed in wars/civil wars between the two over the past 200 years. China is actually remarkably peaceful and unified considering its vast population.
