Interesting that you mention Herbert Smith. If you review the 'talk' page behind the Wiki article, you'll see that there's been a long-raging battle between people who want to advertise the firm and people who want to slag it off (neither set giving a fair view of the firm). The current short statement seems to be the only compromise reached.
