Slaughter and May looks East in two-strong promotions round

No, its just a sign that Slaughters are being as selective as they always have been. They have, over the past 20 years, often only made up one or two partners in a year. They have always said they focused on quality and not quantity and it has, to the chagrin of other firms, never done them any harm.
