City of Westminster wins illegal subletting case against tenant

This is all well and good. But for the last 30 years Westminster City Council has been falling over itself to sell off council flats on long leases. Numbers of these are then lawfully sublet (at rents much higher than social rents), many to tenants claiming Housing Benefit - that is loads of public money going into theback pockets of the propertied - now that should be a crime!
