Why another article on oligarch litigation - is the tabloid obsessed with it?? Do the journalists not by now have some idea what they are talking about? A three to six month trial for oligarchs is no different to a three to six month commercial trial between major institutions. We are talking about the same trial processes. The differences don't justify such ridiculous sexing up. What, also, is the point of telling us that two experts in the Berezovsky trial (on which judgment has yet to be given) were unable to comment to the journalist - what on earth did The Lawyer expect the experts to do?! And then we are told that because some of the parties in the Berezovsky part two trial at the end of this year have yet to name their full Counsel team that is somehow worthy of comment. Surely the more obvious explanation is that there are very few suitable candidates left around without conflicts with the space available, and lengthy negotiationsare no doubt being conducted both to get diary space and financials sorted etc. It is already known that one of the parties may have a QC with a conflicting diary commitment; and another has so far not paid for any QC. The suggestion that the time and delay in sorting that stuff out is somehow "ammunition" being used against Berezovsky sounds silly without proper explanation of what is really being said - just banality from an involved lawyer??. Fatuous stuff, and not worthy of publishing.
