Litigation – a right or an unaffordable luxury?

It's not surprising to see a lawyer arguing this, as it is their lifeblood. However, to the man on the street - who bears the cost of the litigation culture as opposed to reaps its rewards - the effect is obvious, in ways such as - Car insurance is now hugely expensive - the equality act, businesses terrified of being sued, leading to an unpeasant atmosphere and loss of freedom of speech - fears about being sued are causing public events to be cancelled
