It may appear like an ad for Sumption but when he is the only QC being instructed time and again in the Supreme Court what else can be said? Also, what services is the supposedly advertising? Unless I am mistaken Sumption is off to the Supreme Court bench and can't take anymore bookings. On the one occasion my firm appeared in the Supreme Court we were told by our CoA silk to choose another advocate. Our barrister just felt he wasn't the right person to represent us in front of five judges. he was right. We changed counsel and went on to win.
