Freshfields revamps management of Paris finance team

Five years ago, Freshfields had as good a banking and finance, project finance and capital markets operation as existed anywhere in Paris. Since then, the firm has lost Hericotte, Kensicher, Collin, Matheson, Chedid, Quere, Sauvel, Hesse, L'Homme and the PPP team to rival firms, while Jean-Luc Michaud, who knitted so much together, has retired. FBD has, in fairness, picked up a couple of names to plug the gaps, but there has been an absence of a firm hand on the tiller in this area for some time. Many might think that a finance management revamp in Paris is certainly not coming too soon.
