My old firm will take on any partner who has worked in London regardless of ability / clients etc. One partner billed £32,000 in 2009. It would be okay if they had bought in lots of other work, but unfortunately his clients only brought in £31,000 in fees. So what do you think the partnership did... yep, they axed some assistants. Is this a good strategy?
