Come off it - having a regional P&L is a disastrous move, guaranteed to breed infighting, unnatural practice,s client and work-hogging and a complete absence of co-operation across practice groups and departments. Verrier comes across as a tyrannical bully cos that's exactly what he is. Nobody stood against him because they knew they would be unlikely to win and they would suffer years of retribution from HV for having the temerity to stand against him. This is the Bill Tudor-John syndrome all over again - hubris will catch up with Hugh eventually.
