Well someone's been doing some thinking at last. Top three commercial firm with FTSE client base in Scotland seeks to expand in London; WLTM similar, but smaller, in the City with view to swallowing outright. Obvious answer? Naturally, a firm with excellent private client and Parliamentary practices; a huge public sector clientele; effective, but smallish-ticket corporate capacity and next to no finance expertise. Whoever was responsible for trying to sell that one wants shooting.
