Focus: Social mobility - Prime target

This is all very good and should be encouraged but what everyone fails to recognise is that these sort of schemes are only available to some under privileged. Sure, if you live in London and have access to such schemes, it's great. But disadvantage exists outside of cities and too often it is bright kids taught by teachers who are unaware of such opportunities who miss out. Sad, but true. What happens to these people? If they make it to university they are forced to compete with those who didn't earn their place in the same way. Firms seem to pay little attention to school background then. It's a false fair system.
