Solicitors from Hell owner launches £1m defamation claim against Law Soc CEO

There is nothing wrong with naming and shaming solicitors who provide a poor service. But he should stop pretending to be the people's champion, fighting didgy solicitors with the sword of truth and the trusty shield of fair play (to borrow a phrase). If what he truly wanted to do was name and shame solicitors and expose them to public criticism, why does he offer law firms the opportunity to have all references to the firm removed from his website in return for a fee? Not just existing material on the site but any future complaints. Sounds to me like he is quite happy to sheath the sword of truth in return for a few quid.
